Infection control is becoming an increasingly important issue within
today's healthcare environments.
In addition to the already wide cleaning options available to the Q2
transfer board Quintal has also incorporated the antimicrobial QGard
during the manufacture of the board.
QGard is a silver based antimicrobial that is added to the Q2 motility board during the moulding process. It is active throughout the life
of the board and it provides long term protection to help inhibit the surface growth of harmful organisms. These include the antibiotic resistant
superbug MRSA (staphylococcus aureas), together with many other bacteria including, E-coli, etc.
The Q2 Motility board has been tested by independent laboratories for its efficacy against an array of micro organisms.
